James Allen Berry, age 69, of Longview, Texas, passed away Monday, November 11, 2024 in Longview. Allen was born October 13, 1955, in Naples, Texas, to James Wade "Jim" Berry and Frankie Beth Tigert Berry.
Allen was of the Baptist faith. He retired from US Steel. Allen was an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He also enjoyed gardening and tending to cattle and horses. Allen loved spending time with his family and friends.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Aaron Berry; and one brother, David "Deach" Berry.
Survivors include his wife, Stormie Berry of Longview; one son, Jeff Berry of Naples; one daughter-in-law, Kristi Berry of Omaha; two stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law, Cash and Miranda Parker of New Braunfels, Texas and Colt and Hannah Parker of Argyle, Texas; one brother and four sisters-in-law, Joe and Angela Berry of Naples, Holli Berry of Naples, Tabby Essex of Longview, and Tonton Green of Daingerfield, Texas; nine grandchildren, Wade Berry, Jolie Berry, Grace Berry, Michael Berry, Lera Parker, Sylvia Parker, Emmelyn Parker, Caitlyn Anderson, and Ashley Anderson; two great-grandchildren, Dayton Thompson and Haisley Thompson; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday, November 15, 2024, at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples. Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 15, 2024 at Concord Cemetery in Omaha with Rev. Nolan Richey officiating.
