Obituary

Ann Fulcher Wise, age 94, of Naples, Texas, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019 at her home.  Ann was born October 24, 1924 in Linden, Texas, to Edwin and Pearl Blankenship.

Ann was a member at the First United Methodist Church in Naples.  She graduated from Linden High School and Draughn's Business College. She worked as finance secretary for Farm Security Administration and the Department of Human Resources.  After marrying Joe Fulcher of Naples and starting a family, she served as president of the PTA at Paul Pewitt School, Girl Scout Leader, Girl Scout Day Camp Director, Church Camp Counselor, National Accredited Junior Flower Show Judge, Naples Garden Club President, Jonquil Garden Club, and was a charter member of 65+ years (Lifetime Membership) of the Naples–Omaha Order of the Eastern Star where she was a past Matron of the Order.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Joe H. Fulcher and Dr. Charles Wise; two sisters, Dorothy Echols and Gretna Rountree; infant twin brothers; an infant son; step-children, Richard Wise and Mary Margaret Wise Harvey; and special family friend Mary Kathryn Boyd.

Survivors include one daughter, Kay Fulcher Carter of San Antonio; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Deniece Fulcher of Naples, and Gordon Ray and Cheryl Fulcher of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren and spouses, Victoria Elise and Shawn Salazar, Evan Joseph Fulcher, Brandon and Raechel Fulcher, and Allyson and Harrison Trammell; step-grandchildren, Danon Ashley and Brittany Gentry; two great-grandchildren, Thomas Michael Salazar and Ann Elise Salazar; expecting third great-grandchild, Easton Joe Fulcher; the Wise children, Susan, Doug, Tom, Tim, and Betty Grace and their families; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She is also survived by special friends and caregivers, Mildred Taylor and Danon Sims.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2019 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 2:00p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church in Naples with Rev. Jay Barnes officiating.  Interment will follow at Naples Cemetery in Naples.

The family would like to offer special thanks to Chambers Home Health and Hospice nurses and aides, Kacey, Paula, Rosland, and DeAnna.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Omaha Cares or the Naples Cemetery Association.
