Byron Anthony Richards, age 82, of Longview, Texas, formerly of Omaha, Texas, passed away Monday, August 24, 2015, at his home. Anthony was born July 30, 1933, in Omaha, Texas to Belton Lavazan Richards, Sr. and Alice Josephine Carson Richards.

Anthony was a baptist and retired from Lone Star Steel after 35 years. He loved hunting and fishing with his sons.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Joel and Tony Richards, and his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carolyn Richards of Longview; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Terri Richards of Dallas; sister-in-law, Kate Falls; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2015, at First Baptist Church in Omaha, Texas, with Rev. Keith Lauter officiating. Interment will follow at Omaha Cemetery in Omaha.
