Barbara Jewel Charlton, age 66, of Douglassville, Texas, passed away Friday, May 15, 2015, in a Mt. Pleasant, Texas nursing home. Barbara was born on April 16, 1949, to Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Lee. She was a homemaker.

Barbara was Baptist in faith. She enjoyed making trinkets and jewelry. She and Andy raised and cared for lots of animals over the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Johnny Lee and Frank Lee.

Barbara is survived by her beloved husband, Andy Charlton of Douglassville; one daughter and son-in-law, Kristy and Adam Burney of Omaha; two grandchildren, Jerald Morgan and Toni Morgan of Omaha; and one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mickey and Sharon Charlton of DeKalb.

Graveside services are Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Greenview Cemetery, in the Miller Grove community south of Sulphur Springs, with Bro. Dwaine Higgins officiating.
