Menta Beth Knight McCormack Lewis Klemm, better known to her grandchildren as "Murmur" passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016 in a Mt. Pleasant, Texas hospital. Beth was born June 29, 1929 in Naples, Texas to William Marion Knight and Ruth Walker Knight.
Beth was a member at Rocky Branch Missionary Baptist Church in Rocky Branch, Texas. She held several occupations over the years. She was an executive secretary early in life and then later on became a licensed real estate agent. Perhaps the chosen work that Beth was most fond of was being a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Beth was a member of P.E.O., past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star in Wolfe City, member of the Wolfe City Book Club, the Modern Study Club, and was a past Sunday School Teacher during her years in McKinney and Richardson. She was a 20 year breast cancer survivor. Beth was a master gardener, an avid reader, and a good cook. She was always active in each church she attended.
Beth was preceded in death by two husbands, Carl McCormack and Paul Lewis; her parents; one son, Don McCormack; two brothers, Bill Knight and Royce Knight; and one granddaughter, Charlotte McCormack.
Surviving family members include her husband, Ron Klemm of Naples; one son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Terry McCormack of Graham, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Jeanean and Larry Slonaker of Gilroy, California; one daughter-in-law, Kyla McCormack of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Rocky Branch Missionary Baptist Church in Rocky Branch with Rev. Ricky Knight officiating. Interment will follow at Springhill Cemetery in Naples.
