Mrs. Betty Ann Doré went to her heavenly Father Monday, March 20, 2017 in Hurley, Mississippi after a long and brave battle with Alzheimer's. She was born February 8, 1935 in Joaquin, Texas to Hollie Barbara Jean and William Wesley Wright.

Betty was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church in Omaha. She went to work for George Doré, in 1958. He was a pharmacist in Houston. He asked her on a date, and they eventually got married. Their union lasted until his death on March 15, 2010.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one sister, Mary Virginia; and one daughter, Sandra.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Carey and Lynn Doré of Hurley, Mississippi; daughter, Heather Strole of Commerce, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Vickie and Gary Cofer of Houston; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 25, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Omaha with Rev. Keith Lauter officiating. Interment will follow at Springhill Cemetery in Naples, Texas. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church, prior to the funeral.
