Betty LaJuan Miller, age 84, of Marietta, Texas, passed away Monday, November 15, 2021 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.  Betty was born June 24, 1937 in the Cornett community of Hughes Springs, Texas to William Allen Crossland and Anna Olivia Owens Crossland.

Betty retired from Pilgrim's Pride Corporation where she worked in the prepared foods area.  She enjoyed fishing, playing the lottery, puzzle books, tending to her chickens, and cooking.  Betty loved spending time with her family.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Albert Crossland; and three sisters, Jennie Lou Golden, Pauline Elrod, and Bobbie Turnage.

Survivors include one son, Terry Smith of Marietta; one daughter and son-in-law, Belinda and Jerry Crocker of Marietta; seven grandchildren, Jody Crocker and wife Jennifer, Michelle Smith, Chris Smith, Brittany Smith, Brooke Smith, Brianna Smith, and Kaleb Blankenship; thirteen great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples.  Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Cornett Cemetery in Naples.
