Betty Jean Kidwell Moon, age 81, of Bryans Mill, Texas, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at her home. Betty was born February 17, 1936 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Robert O. Kidwell and Evie Garrison Kidwell.

Betty was a member at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Bryans Mill, and she devoted her life to Christ. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Betty enjoyed sewing, cooking, and reading. Over the years, she babysat many children. Her main wish was that people would come to peace and serve the Lord.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, R.L. Kidwell and Nolice "Bill" Kidwell; and three sisters, Elaine Coe, Billie Cason, and Winnie Cochran.

Surviving family members include her husband of 63 years, Eldon Moon of Bryans Mill; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Kenneth Moon of Arlington, Richard Moon of Arlington, and Michael and Vanessa Moon of Arlington; one daughter, Nancy Stephens of Frisco; two brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Lois Kidwell of Cookville, and Roger and Betty Nell Kidwell of Pittsburg; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Preston and Betty Moon of Bryans Mill; six grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2017 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 21, 2017 at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dominic Crescimanno and Bro. Mark Rinehart officiating. Interment will follow at Old Union Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant.
