Bettye Zane Tuck Stacks, age 92, of Naples, Texas, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2026, in Mount Pleasant, Texas. Bettye was born February 11, 1934, in Dalton, Texas, to Seeb McPhearson Tuck and Eula Beatrice Martin Tuck.
Bettye worked as a RN/CRNA at David Granberry Memorial Hospital, East Texas Clinic, and Titus Regional Medical Center for a number of years. After retiring she worked at Stacks Saw Mill. Bettye was a member of the First Baptist Church in Naples, Texas, the Naples Garden Club, the Paul Pewitt School Board, and the Morris County Hospital District Board. Bettye was also a Master Gardener. In her free time, she enjoyed fishing and planting flower beds. Bettye was known for her green thumb and always helping those in need.
Bettye was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Stacks; her parents; one daughter, Charlotte Nan Stacks; eight brothers, Perry Tuck, Joseph Tuck, Roly Tuck, Charles Tuck, Seeb Ed Tuck, Dunie Tuck, Billy Joe Tuck, and J.L. "Sonny" Tuck; four sisters, Paulette Carruthers, Ruth Hinson, Eula Little, and Anna Williamson.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Larry Cox of Mount Pleasant; two sons, J.B. Stacks of Bryans Mill, Texas, and Michael Stacks of Tyler, Texas; four grandchildren, Charlotte Phillips and husband Stayce, Shelly Rosen, John Cox and wife Tristan, and Ryon Cox and fiancé Lindsay Utter; six great-grandchildren, Aaron Rosen, Sterling Rosen, Audrey Rosen, Tripp Phillips, Emery Cox, and Gemma Cox; her dog, Bella; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2026, at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples with John Cox and Ryon Cox officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bryans Mill. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2026, at the funeral home prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to East Texas Alzheimer's Alliance, P.O. Box 4223, Longview, Texas, or the Paul Pewitt Education Foundation.
