Billy Jack "Bill" Lewis, age 88, of Denton, Texas, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018 in Denton, Texas. Bill was born October 29, 1929 in Naples, Texas to Claud Charnel Lewis and Olivia Violet Thomas Lewis.

Bill retired from the United States Postal Service where he was a walking postman. He served in the United States Army Corps. Bill enjoyed walking, following sports, and spending time with his family.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Fayrene Lewis; his parents; one son, Michael Lewis; one sister, Shirley Woodard; two brothers, Ray Lewis and Johnny Bob Lewis.

Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Rick and Magda Lewis of San Antonio, Texas and Jack Lewis of Oneonta, Alabama; one daughter, Shelia Nelson of Denton, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Tricia Lewis of Missouri City, Texas; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Naples Cemetery in Naples with Rev. Nolan Richey officiating.
