Billy Ray Scarborough, age 81, of Naples, Texas, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2020, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.  Billy was born January 7, 1939 in Nacogdoches, Texas to William Edward "Willie" Scarborough and Ollie Mae Black Scarborough.

Billy retired from Union Pacific Railroad where he was a track inspector.  He was a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way.  Billy enjoyed riding horses and watching TV.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents; and three sisters, Corrine Dennis, Jean Cobb, and Yvonne Bowman.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Glenda Scarborough of Naples; one son and daughter-in-law, Billy Joe and Thao Scarborough of McKinney, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie Gwen and Bill Jackson of Sachse, Texas; three grandchildren, Haley Raye Jackson of Dallas, Molly JoAnn Mastorakos and husband Dimitri of Dallas, and Bo Nguyen of McKinney; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2020 at Naples Cemetery in Naples, Texas with Chaplain Shiles Hubbell officiating.  The body will lie in state from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples.
