Obituary

Bo Granberry, age 89, passed away peacefully at his home in Naples, Texas on Saturday, March 28, 2026. He was born on August 27, 1936, in Wards Creek, Texas, to Talbert "Top" Granberry and Helen Mae Gannon Granberry.

Bo was a member of First Baptist Church in Naples.  He retired from Paul Pewitt High School after teaching vocational agriculture for 33 years.  He then went to work for Bowie Cass Electric Cooperative as a meter reader for 12 years.  He was a past board member of the Naples Boots and Saddle Club.  In his younger years, Bo enjoyed riding horses, raising and herding cattle and was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He loved archery, especially long bows and recurves.  In his retirement, he enjoyed touring the countryside on his motorcycle.  In the latter years, Bo's biggest enjoyment was riding around and visiting while looking for a good hamburger to eat.

Bo was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Granberry, in 2022, and his parents.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Rachael Granberry of Naples; one daughter and son-in-law, Toni and Mark Skipalis of Rowlett, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Dan Pinson of Longview, Texas; seven grandchildren, Melissa Thomas and husband Todd, Emilie Jones, Ashlyn Granberry, Porter Skipalis, Dayton Granberry, Will Skipalis, and Ema Skipalis; seven great-grandchildren, Zach Yount, Hannah Granberry, Alyssa Yount, Kynli Yount, Laythan Godfrey, Bowen Frazier, and Archer Frazier; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2026, at Naples Cemetery in Naples with Ronald Stringer and Damon Hodges officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the cemetery prior to the service.
