Bob Johnson, (age 80), of Naples, TX, went to be with his savior on November 18 th with his wife, Nancy, by his side. He was born to the late Arthur and Stella Johnson of Kansas City, Kansas, on May 14 th , 1937. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
Bob graduated from Park Hill High School in Kansas City North, MO. He worked in the trucking industry and later in the construction industry until he retired in 1994 and moved to East Texas. In his later years Bob loved working in his yard and garden. He attended Bar Nun Cowboy Ministries in Omaha where he learned to love the Lord and the people in the church.
Bob is survived by his wife, Nancy, son, Terry Johnson, and wife, Jan, of Dallas, son, Tim Johnson, and wife, Marilyn, of Sachse, son, Tom Johnson, and wife, Pam, of Tool, daughter, Lorri Howard, and husband, Kevin, of Independence, MO., stepson, Geoff Horst, and wife, Janet, of Sanger, stepson, Tim Horst, and wife, Misty, of Tuscola, stepdaughter, Christy Cook, and husband, Harrison, of El Campo, and two heart-adopted children, Jimmie and Kwyla Teel of Bryans Mill. Bob had numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A "Celebration of Bob's New Life in Heaven" will be held on Saturday, November 25 th at 2:00 p.m. at Bar Nun Cowboy Ministries in Omaha with Bro. Dwaine Higgins officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to Hospice of Texarkana/Hospice of Hope, 2407 Galleria Oaks Dr. Texarkana, TX 75503. Online giving may be done at www.hospiceoftexarkana.org .
