John Robert "Bob" Mullins, age 76, of Omaha, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at his home. Mr. Mullins was born on November 23, 1938 in Glenjean, West Virginia to John Wesley Mullins and Inez Ledford Mullins.

Bob led a life full of different adventures. He entered the United States Air Force and became Airman 1st Class, serving during the Korean War. After the Air Force, he owned and operated the first Volkswagen mechanic shop in the Dallas area. Upon retirement from the shop, Bob enjoyed several different hobbies. He was a private pilot, owned a yacht that he lived on for 4 years while touring the world. Bob built two homes for himself, and enjoyed restoring cars. He was a member of the American Legion and a Baptist. Bob was a great husband and father, and he never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Sharlin Smith; and one grandson, Michael Alan Sergi.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Mullins of Omaha; two sons, Ronnie Baker of The Colony, Texas and Marc Mullins of Abilene, Texas; two daughters, Pam Sergi of Dallas and Connie Baker of Dallas; one brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Lynn Mullins of Lexington, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Brandi Sergi and Aiden Baker; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Memorial services are planned for 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2015, at First Baptist Church in Omaha, with Rev. Keith Lauter officiating.
