Bob Truitt Perkins, age 90, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016, at his home. Bob was born November 18, 1925 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to David Lee Adorn Perkins and Ammere Hanson Perkins.
Bob was a member at First Baptist Church in Omaha, Texas. Prior to retiring, he was a truck driver for Red Ball Motor Freight. Bob was a member of the Lions Club. He enjoyed woodworking and mowing his yard. Bob loved truck driving.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers; five sisters; one son, Robert Wayne Waits; and two grandchildren, Corey Mitchell and Deana Sargent.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Perkins of Omaha; three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Jet Arrington of Winnsboro, Texas, Jan and Robert Morgan of Cushing, Texas, and Sherri and Robert Morris of Cameron, Texas; seven grandchildren, Bobby Sargent and wife Deanna, Starla Mitchell, Jeff Gilliland and wife Teresa, Bobby Gilliland, Sarah Morris, Jill Martin and husband Billy, and David Wommack; fourteen great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the funeral home. Graveside services will 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Omaha Cemetery with Rev. Keith Lauter officiating.
