Barbara "Bobbie" Shelton, age 86, of Hughes Springs, Texas, formerly of Texarkana, Texas, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2016, in a Longview, Texas hospital. Bobbie was born September 21, 1929 in Gaspar, Louisiana to Gasparit E. Delacerda and Gussie Gallien Delacerda.

Bobbie was a member at Oaklawn Baptist Church in Texarkana. She retired from Larry Robison Photography Studio in Texarkana, Texas, where she was the manager for many years. Bobbie was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed fishing and cooking. She was very family-oriented, and enjoyed visiting with everyone.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Shelton in 2001; her parents; two brothers, Kenneth Delacerda and Donnie Delacerda; and one sister, Peggy Hitchcock.

Surviving family members include two Sons and one daughter-in-law, Dwight and Rhonda Shelton of Hughes Springs, and Phil Shelton of Jacksonville, Arkansas; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Barbara Delacerda of Gentry, Arkansas, Keith and Wanda Delacerda of Morrelton, Arkansas, and Mark and Glenda Delacerda of Waxahachie, Texas; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Lois Latham of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Delores and Bobby Lloyd of Hughes Springs; five grandchildren, Andrew Shelton and wife Jeni, Justin Shelton and wife Liz, Jennifer Chappel, Keith Shelton, Katie Savage and husband Jeff, and LaCee Holly and husband Dylan; eight great-grandchildren, Noah Shelton, Levi Shelton, Bethany Shelton, Olivia Shelton, Jansen Savage, Asher Savage, Landry Holly, and Quinnly Holly; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Memorial services for Mrs. Shelton will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 1, 2016 at First Baptist Church, Hughes Springs with Bro. Jeff Perritte officiating.
