Bobby Gene Bishop, age 80, of Rocky Branch, Texas, passed away Friday, October 15, 2021 at his home. Bobby was born April 2, 1941 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Junior Bishop and Esther Mae Gentry Bishop.

Bobby was a member of Circle C Cowboy Church in Mt. Pleasant.  He was a retired welder.  In his younger years, Bobby loved riding horses and enjoyed playing the guitar.  As he grew older, Bobby enjoyed fishing, singing at local nursing homes, and helping with chuckwagon ministries.

Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Junior Bishop; mother, Ester Mae Smith; one brother, Jacky Bishop; and one sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Ken Sloan.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Betty Bishop of Rocky Branch; two sons and daughters-in-law, Troy and Robbi Bishop of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, and Terry and Gina Bishop of Ore City, Texas; five grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Shorty and Lee Bishop of Bogata, Texas; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Danon Sims of Mt. Pleasant, Deniece and David Fulcher of Naples, and Deena and Ricky Eudy of Mt. Pleasant; a number of nieces and nephews, and several other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 18, 2021 at Springhill Cemetery in Rocky Branch with Bro. James Baker officiating.
