Robert Preston "Bobby" Brents, age 73, of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025, in Shreveport, Louisiana.  Bobby was born May 26, 1951, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Preston Bernard Brents and Mary Evelyn Barker Brents.

Bobby was a member of North Jefferson Church of Christ in Mt. Pleasant.  He was a life-long rancher.  He enjoyed fishing, playing dominoes and watching westerns.  He also enjoyed spending time with his family.  Bobby loved John Deere tractors.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Peggy Brents; one nephew, Richard Simpler; and one niece, Penny Brents.

Survivors include one special great-niece that Bobby considered his daughter, Amber Givens and husband Aaron of Wisner, Louisiana; one brother and sister-in-law, Ernie and Tina Brents of Henderson, Texas; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Carolyn Brents of Ashdown, Arkansas, Brenda and Charles Smith of Mt. Pleasant, and JoAnn and Jack Kimberlin of Frisco, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples, Texas with Kris Gorda and Jeff Whatley officiating.  Interment will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 Saturday, May 3, 2025, prior to the funeral.
