Bonnie Sue Spencer Kozarski, age 86, of Bossier City, Louisiana, passed away Monday, October 7, 2024 in Daingerfield, Texas. Bonnie was born June 11, 1938, in Bodcaw, Arkansas to Hollis Elbert Spencer and Mary Pauline Martin Spencer.
Bonnie was a Christian and grew up in a Baptist church. Bonnie retired from McElroy metals where she served as corporate executive secretary for 30 years. After retirement, she and her husband Stan enjoyed traveling in their motorhome across the country. Bonnie enjoyed doing genealogy and spent countless hours tracing her family's ancestry. She also loved writing stories about her family and their experiences through the years. Bonnie never had children but had many dogs she loved unconditionally as her children throughout her lifetime.
Bonnie was preceded in death by two husbands, Clyde B. "CB" Harris, Jr. and Stan Kozarski, Jr.; her parents; three sisters, Georgia Kay Evans Thompson, Paula Marie Wright, and Mary Jenelle Gilliam; and one niece, Patricia Raws Prosser Allen.
Survivors include eight nephews and nieces, George S. Gilliam, Jimmy Gilliam, Mike Evans, Cindy Evans Downey, Amy Evans Timmons, Robert A. Raws, Joseph W. Raws, and Randall Raws; and numerous cousins that she dearly loved.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home, Naples, Texas.
