Brenda Joyce Gibbs Coffey, age 74, of Naples, Texas, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024, in Daingerfield, Texas.  Brenda was born January 22, 1950, in Naples, Texas.

Brenda was a member of First Baptist Church in Omaha.  She retired from the US Postal Service where she served as postmaster in Naples.  Brenda loved spending time with her family and going on "girls' trips."  She also loved Elvis.

Brenda was preceded in death by her father and stepmother, Jonas Boyd Gibbs and Ruby Gibbs; mother and stepfather, Ellen Lavenia Franklin Tye and Horace Tye; one son, David James Coffey; one brother, Hugh Gibbs; three sisters, Donna Johnson, Wanda McKinney, and Gail Wall; one great-grandson, Denzel Chism; and her children's father, David Lee Coffey.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Brandi and Brian Cave of Daingerfield; two brothers and three sisters-in-law, James and Valerie Gibbs of Daingerfield and Wayne and Norma Tye of Phoenix, Arizona, and Ruby Peters of Naples; one sister and two brothers-in-law, Vicki and Jacob Qatato of Haltom City, Texas and Danny Johnson of New Boston, Texas; nine grandchildren, Deidra Hooton and husband Jordan, Dillan Derrick and wife Morgan, Trent Foster, Khara Hunter and husband Jammal, Braxton Coffey, Memphis Coffey, Hunter Coffey, Blake Cave and wife Dakota, and Makayela Corona; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples with Rev. Keith Lauter officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the funeral.
