Bobby Glynn "Bud" Joyner, age 89, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Bud was born June 9, 1932 in Omaha, Texas to Ottis Lee Joyner and Lillian Irene Thigpen Joyner.
Bud was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Naples, Texas. Bud retired from T&N Warehouse where he worked as a supervisor. He loved fishing and took great pride in his garden. Bud especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Johnny Joyner; and one sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Jewell Ward.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Mary Jane Joyner of Omaha; one daughter and son-in-law, Glenda Lewis and Phil Smith of Omaha; one son and daughter-in-law, Rickey and Rene Joyner of Mt. Pleasant; one sister-in-law, Mary Ann Joyner of Omaha; one brother-in-law, Glenn McLerran of Trenton, Texas; four grandchildren, Aaron Lewis and wife Tiffany, Casey Lewis and wife Leslie, Jarrod Joyner and wife Amanda, and Katelyn Black and husband Colton; four great-grandchildren; his special dog, Penny; and a host of special nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 17, 2021 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples with Rev. Nolan Richey and Phillip Kelley officiating. Interment will follow at Omaha Cemetery in Omaha.
