Carol Ann Hicks Garcia, age 70, of Naples, Texas, passed away Monday, October 19, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas. Carol was born July 3, 1956, in Fort Worth to Billy Joe Hicks and Dorothe Mae Collins Hicks. 

Carol grew up in Arlington Texas where she raised her two sons.

She retired from Southwestern Bell/AT&T, where she worked as a telephone operator for many years and moved to the Naples area to care for her mother and take care of the Ranch that they so dearly loved. Carol and her mother Dorothe loved to go out in the garden, where they grew their own vegetables and spent many hours together cooking and canning foods for the family. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. 

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Vickie Hicks. 

Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Kristi Dempsey of Fort Worth and Casey Porter of Fort Worth; one sister, Diane Leach of Allen, Texas; four grandchildren, Paige Dempsey, Haley Dempsey, Alice Porter, and Dean Porter; and numerous other relatives and friends. 

Graveside Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Cornett Cemetery in Naples, Texas
