Carolyn Joyce Fordyce, age 78, of Naples, Texas, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022 in Longview, Texas. Carolyn was born September 30, 1943, in Moweaqua, Illinois, to Albert Halstead Hopkins and Lola Lorraine Dickins Hopkins.

Carolyn was a housekeeping supervisor and worked in hotels and nursing facilities. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, reading (especially Nora Roberts novels), fishing, tending to her flower garden, and keeping a tidy home.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Shirley Wulf and Nancy Queen; and one brother, Lloyd "Dick" Hopkins.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Roger Fordyce of Naples; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Clyde Fordyce of Columbus, Ohio, Tom and Kelly Fordyce of Daingerfield, Texas, and Keith and Rhonda Fordyce of Naples; one daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Lance Hauth of Bentonville, Arkansas; two sisters, Roberta Wulf of Hughes Springs, Texas and Phyllis Crain of Vandalia, Illinois; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 19, 2022 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples with Bro. Joseph Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Springhill Cemetery in Naples. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
