Carrie Jean Speights, age 61, of Maud, Texas, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2020 in Texarkana, Texas. Carrie was born September 16, 1958 in Maud to Jesse Oval Stone and Imogene Ritchie Stone.

Carrie was a member at Moss Springs Baptist Church.  She was a retired Licensed Vocational Nurse.  Carrie enjoyed going camping and fishing.  She also enjoyed going to garage sales and flea markets.  Carrie loved cooking and taking care of others.  More than anything else, Carrie loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching them play baseball and softball.

Carrie was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Speights of Maud; one son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Lindsay Morton of New Boston, Texas; three stepchildren; five grandchildren, Wyatt Morton, Jaicee Morton, Andrew Speights, MaKenzie Smith, and Austin Smith; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Danny and Joyce Stone of Maud, Joey and Sherri Stone of Maud, Jess Stone of Maud, and Cal Stone of Wills Point, Texas; four sisters and one brother-in-law, Glenda Hamilton of Wills Point, Sandra Conatser of Wills Point, Jan Ledbetter of Maud, and Angie and Perry Stevens of Daingerfield, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Private family graveside services will be held under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home, Naples, Texas.
