Cassandra Maria Kennedy-Wainright, age 46, of Naples, Texas, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Cassandra was born December 16, 1971 in Pittsburg, Texas to Velma Kennedy.

Cassandra attended Trinity Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Cassandra formerly worked as a correctional officer. She enjoyed writing poetry, cooking, and was a devout Christian.

Cassandra was preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving family members include her husband, Edward Wainright of Naples, Texas; one son, Willie Evans, Jr. of Ore City, Texas; one daughter, Abrieghya Evans of Omaha, Texas; one brother, Ronnie Kennedy of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and numerous other relatives.

Cremation services are under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home, Naples, Texas.
