Charlene Drake, age 90, of Naples, Texas, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018, in Daingerfield, Texas. Charlene was born April 5, 1927 in Mount Vernon, Texas to Lester Lee Draper and Lucy Lee Padgett Draper.

Charlene was a member at First Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant where she served as the church secretary for many years. She retired from the Texas Department of Human Services where she worked as the secretarial office manager. Charlene enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, cooking, and gardening.

Charlene was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Pamela Rutledge; and one granddaughter, Leslie Lykins.

Surviving family members include two daughters, Artis Roberts of Naples, Texas and Kathy Powers of Hot Springs, Arkansas; one son and daughter-in-law, Cliff and Wanda Drake of Nash, Texas; one sister, Anna Davis of Humble, Texas; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 8, 2018 at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, Texas with Bro. Tim Anderson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Alzheimer's Association.
