Charles Kenneth "Buck" Jones, age 87, of Bryans Mill, Texas, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2020, in Texarkana, Texas.  Buck was born February 17, 1933 in Delhi, Louisiana.

Buck was a member at Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Marietta, Texas.  He retired from Red River Army Depot where he was a civil engineer.  Buck was a United States Army Veteran, having served as a paratrooper.  Upon completing his time in the Army, Buck worked at NASA as an aerospace engineer.  Buck was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a former hospice chaplain.  More than anything, he devoted many years of his life to the Boy Scouts of America, having served as Scoutmaster for the Caddo Area Council.  Buck enjoyed woodworking, camping and other outdoor activities, and square-dancing.

Buck was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Jones in 2019; his parents; one son-in-law, David Knowles, and one sister, Melva Rainwater.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, James and Jana Jones of Plano, Texas; one daughter, Sheila Knowles of Omaha, Texas; five grandchildren, Darrell Knowles and wife Skylar, Michael Knowles, Janese Dalton, Karlee Wilson, and Drew Wilson; three great-grandchildren, Kinley Knowles, Jaydon Wilson, and Jocelyn Dalton; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Marietta with Dr. Chas Carlisle officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oak Ridge Baptist Church or the Boy Scouts of American Caddo Area Council.
