James Christopher "Chris" Day, age 43, of Gilmer, Texas, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022 in Longview, Texas.  Chris was born May 27, 1978, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, to James Richard Day and Charlotte Ruth Brown Day.

Chris worked at Adams Furniture in the delivery department.  He enjoyed fishing, driving fast, and listening to old-school rock and roll.  Chris loved his dog, helping others, and taking care of his family.

Chris was preceded in death by his mother.

Survivors include his wife, Misty Day of Marshall, Texas; father and stepmother, Richard and Audrey Day of New Boston, Texas; one son, Isaac Day of Marshall; one daughter, Journey Day of Gilmer; one sister, Kristy Blalock of Mt. Pleasant; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home, Naples, Texas.
