Cinda Sue Alford, age 62, of Longview, Texas, passed away Friday, April 6, 2018 at her home. Cinda was born February 19, 1956, in Colorado Springs, Colarado, to Odie W. Mixon and Myrtle Lucinda Brock.

Cinda was a homemaker. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Cinda was very instrumental in saving the Reagan School Building in Palestine, Texas. She enjoyed reading, flower gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Cinda was preceded in death by her parents; and four brothers, Kenneth Mixon, Odie Merle Mixon, Johnny Mixon, and James Mixon.

Survivors include her husband, of 44 years, Bob Alford of Longview, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Laurie and Lee Nicholson of Longview, Texas and Angie and Lee Stephens of Kilgore, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Donnie and Jeannie Mixon of Mark, Illinois; six grandchildren, Jordan Alford and wife Sarah, Justin Nicholson, Emily Ellis, Jacob Alford, Sean Stephens, and Austin Stephens; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2018 at Harrison Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Nolan Richey officiating. Interment will follow at Springhill Cemetery in Naples, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Highway 80 Mission/House of Hope Mission in Longview, Texas or Victory Road Baptist Church Building Fund in Kilgore, Texas.
