Danny Michael "Dan" Robison, 68, of Dalton, Texas, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018 in McKinney, Texas. Dan was born April 25, 1950, in Dallas, Texas, to Leonard L. and Nannie Marie (Guess) Robison.

Dan grew up in Garland, Texas, and graduated from Garland High in 1968 where he excelled in baseball and basketball. He attended Paris Junior College in Paris, Texas, on a sports scholarship. Dan never lost his love for sports and enjoyed coaching youth ball teams in his spare time for several years.

Early in Dan's career as a respiratory therapist, he travelled the U.S. for Mobil Oil Company performing pulmonary tests at remote drilling sites. He then settled down in the Dallas area working in several of the major hospitals there. A few years ago Dan moved to the Dalton community, trading the big city for a more laid-back country lifestyle. He spent his last few years of employment before retirement at Atlanta Memorial Hospital (Atlanta, Texas) and Titus Regional Medical Center (Mount Pleasant, Texas).

Dan was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Debra Reeves Robison of Chicago, IL; son, Eric Robison and wife, Maggie, of Savannah, TX and children, Riley Robison, Natalie Robison, Parker Mahan, and Gabbie Mahan; sister, Joanna Jester and husband, Roy, of Atlanta, TX; sister, Debbi Plemmons of Mount Pleasant, TX; nephews: Michael Jester of Atlanta, GA; Rory Jester and wife, Melissa of Wylie, TX; Chris Wiltsie and wife, Anika of Fresno, CA; Bonus Family:  Chelsea Reeves, Nicole Reeves, Nathan Reeves and wife, Misty Dylan, Devin, Marchessa, Addie, Arianna, Makayla, Alijah, Makynzi, and Hannah.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 am, October 20, 2018, in the chapel at Harrison Funeral Home, Naples, Texas.
