David James Coffey, age 46, of Naples, Texas, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. David was born January 14, 1977, in Naples, Texas, to David Lee Coffey and Brenda Joyce Gibbs Coffey.

David was a Baptist. He was a member of the Rocky Branch Volunteer Fire Department. David was a welder. He enjoyed watching football and watching drag races. David also enjoyed shooting sports and spending time with his family.

David was preceded in death by his father; and one grandson, Denzel Chism.

Survivors include his mother, Brenda Coffey of Naples; four sons, Trent Foster of Daingerfield, Texas, Braxton Coffey of Naples, Memphis Coffey of Bloomburg, Texas, and Hunter Coffey of Bloomburg; one daughter, Khara Coffey of Mt. Vernon, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Brandi and Brian Cave of Daingerfield; fiancé, Heather Haley of Mt. Pleasant; nephew, Dillan Derrick and wife Morgan; niece, Deidra Hooton and husband Jordan; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples. Graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Omaha Cemetery in Omaha, Texas with Rev. James Gibbs officiating.
