David Harold Frost, 83, of Douglassville, Texas, died Thursday, January 26, 2023 in a Texarkana, Texas hospital.  David was born September 5, 1939, in Douglassville, Texas, to Roy Davis Frost and Margaret Elizabeth McCoy Frost.

David was a member of the Douglassville United Methodist Church.  He retired from Day and Zimmerman where he worked as a superintendent and he was on the board of directors for Bowie Cass Electric Co Op.  David was a life-long farmer and rancher and he was a member of the Cass County Cattlemen's Association.  David enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing dominoes.  He loved spending time with his family and following his grandchildren's activities.

David was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Frost; and his parents.

Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Michelle Vaughn of Douglassville and Jackie and Richard "Smitty" Smith of Douglassville; one son, James "Bubba" Frost of Bryans Mill, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2023 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples, Texas.  Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 30, 2023 at Douglassville Fellowship Church, formerly Douglassville United Methodist Church.  Interment will follow at Union Chapel Cemetery in Douglassville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Douglassville Fellowship Church or Union Chapel Cemetery Association.
