Dennis Michael Bailey, age 73, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022 in Sulphur Springs, Texas.  Dennis was born November 23, 1948 in Winnsboro, Louisiana to Ruben Ciley "Buddy" Bailey and Louise Marie Swillie.

Dennis was a veteran of the United States Army.  He attended Bar Nun Cowboy Ministries in Omaha, Texas.  Dennis spent most of his adult life in law enforcement and retired from Daingerfield Police Department.  He was a member of the United States Team Roping Championship and the Original Team Roping Association.  Dennis was an avid team roper.  He also enjoyed fishing, bailing hay and spending time with grandchildren.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Timothy Bailey and Donald Bailey; and two sisters, Diane Rollins and Bettie Reeves.

Survivors include his wife, Hellen Bailey of Omaha; one daughter and son-in-law, Tiffany and Glyn Pippen of Maud, Texas; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Denise Doughten of Naples, Texas, and Travis and Holly Bailey of Naples; four brothers, Herman Bailey of Wichita Falls, Texas, Ricky and Lesa Bailey of Omaha, Gary and Brenda Bailey of Winnsboro, and Doug and Dawn Bailey of Winnsboro; four sisters, Janet and Marshall Savoie of Lafayette, Louisiana, Nelda and Gary Adams of Winnsboro, Cathy and James Cloud of Urania, Louisiana, and Patty and John McAdams of Atoka, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples.  Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples with Rev. Kerry Adamek officiating.  Interment will follow at Omaha Cemetery in Omaha.
