Donald Wallace “Don” Cole, age 86, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2026,at his home. Don was born January 16, 1940, in Portsmouth, Virginia, to William Lafayette Cole and Marguerite Mederios Cole.

Don was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Naples, Texas, where heheld several roles over the years. He was also a member of the Glass Club Lake Board and the Texarkana Running Club. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, fishing, attending car shows, puzzles, tinkering in his shop, and in his younger years, Don enjoyed camping and coaching softball. Most of all, Don loved taking care of his family.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Joy Lynn Saucedo; one brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Lee Cole; and one uncle and aunt, Reuben and Bernice Cole.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Bertha Cole of Omaha; two sons and daughters-in-law, Will and Mandy Cole of Naples and Chris and Serena Cole of Kingsbury, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Miki and Mickey Greene of Naples and Shelly and Cabe Bonner of Simms,Texas; one niece, Larui Lee Cole Jensen of Florida; eight grandchildren, Denise Saucedo, Samantha Saucedo, Autumn Cole, Amber Crumbaker and husband Shane, Levi Cole and wife Madalyn, Emily Cole, Lauren Cole and husband Ameer Cage, and Christopher Cole; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2026, at the First United Methodist Church at 201 Cedar St, Naples, Texas, with Rev. Markley Rogers officiating.
