Donald Anthony Freeman, age 61, of Maud, Texas, passed away Friday, May 2, 2025, at his home.  Donald was born May 31, 1963 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Donald was a member of Walnut Church of Christ in Texarkana, Texas.  He retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice where he worked as a correctional officer.  Donald was a former commissioner for Maud Summer League Baseball Association.  He enjoyed carpentry, fishing, and taking care of his yard.  He also enjoyed riding his golf cart.  Donald loved classic country music and watching westerns.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Barbara Mixon; one brother, Doug Freeman; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Nell Settles.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Jana Freeman of Maud; one daughter and son-in-law, Kayce and Chris Carrier of Texarkana, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Clint and Louella Freeman of Hooks, Texas; one brother, David Freeman of Crossville, Tennessee; one sister, Debbie Purdom of Oklahoma; two sisters-in-law, Karen Hargrove of Alabama and Linda Freeman of Omaha, Texas; five grandchildren, Brody "Joe" Carrier, Shanleigh Carrier, Eathan "Allen" Freeman, EllaRyan Freeman, Emberli Freeman, and one grandbaby on the way; numerous nieces; one nephew; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples, Texas.  Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, May 5, 2025 at The Church of Christ in Naples with Patrick Cannon, Damon Hodges, and Phillip Kelley officiating.  Interment will follow at Omaha Cemetery in Omaha, Texas.
