Donie Hill Sasser, age 85, of Dallas, Texas, passed away Friday, April 9, 2021 in Dallas, Texas. Donie was born June 29, 1935 in Naples, Texas to Reuben Lester Young and Mary Elizabeth Dennis Young.

Donie worked at The Department of Commerce as an International Trade Specialist. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, painting, and reading.

Donie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Sasser; her parents; one son, Benjamin Hill; two sisters, Donnie Copeland and Betty Carpenter; and one brother, Stanley Young.

Survivors include one son, Robert Hill of Dallas, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Liz and Randy Bird of Keller, Texas; one brother-in-law, Leon Carpenter or Arlington, Texas; one grandson, Ian Bird and wife Tori; one great-grandson, Oliver Bird; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Cornett Cemetery in Naples.
