Donnie Armanda Copeland, age 82, of Naples, Texas, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Donnie was born June 29, 1935 in Hughes Springs, Texas to Reuben Lester Young and Mary Elizabeth Dennis Young.

Donnie graduated from Pewitt High School in 1953. She then went to business school. Donnie worked in many secretarial positions, but retired from 4D Electric in Dallas where she was the office manager. In her spare time, Donnie enjoyed reading and gardening.

Donnie was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Biddy Copeland; her parents; one brother, Stanley Young; and one sister, Betty "BJ" Carpenter.

Survivors include one sister, Donie Sasser of Dallas; one brother-in-law, Leon Carpenter of Arlington; two nieces, Debra Merritt and Elizabeth Hill; two nephews, Darrell Carpenter and Robert Hill; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 3, 2017 at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2017 at Smyrna Cemetery in Harleton.
