Services for Dorothy Huddleston Bell of Naples, Texas will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Naples at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2022 with Rev. Tim Edwards officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service.  Interment will follow at Springhill Cemetery in Naples, Texas, directed by Harrison Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bell passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022 in Daingerfield, Texas.  She was born September 19, 1927, in Hope, Arkansas, the daughter of Jewel and Maimie Moore.  She was the youngest of six children.  Mrs. Bell had lived in Naples since 1956.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Naples.  She graduated from Hope High School and received her B.S.E Degree from Henderson State Teachers University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.  She taught in elementary schools in Hazen, AR, Horatio, AR, Stamps, AR, Hallsville, TX, White Oak, TX, and Paul Pewitt School in Naples-Omaha, TX with a total of 34 years teaching service, retiring in 1990.  Throughout her teaching career, Dorothy helped shape the lives of many children.  She loved all her students and inspired them to do their best.  She enjoyed being in her classroom because she made learning enjoyable and fun.  Her favorite hobbies beside teaching in elementary school was going to all sports activities, especially football, basketball, and track, and going to grandchildrens' programs and games.

Mrs Bell was preceded in death by her husbands, Coach Fielding Huddleston and Jack Bell; her parents; four brothers, Norman, Donald, Jewel, and Dick Moore; one sister, Jennysue McKee; one son, Les Huddleston; and one daughter, Tami Loewen.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Diane Huddleston of New Braunfels, Texas, and Kent and Meg Huddleston of Heartland, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Reggie Kumrow of Omaha; one son-in-law, Randy Loewen of Naples; one daughter-in-law, Pam Huddleston of Sherman, Texas; one stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Jackie and Judy Bell of Georgetown, Texas; one stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Ginger and Marty Casteel of Little Rock, Arkansas; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Reeder and Bonnie Huddleston of Crawford, Texas and Paul and Nancy Huddleston of Nash, Texas; 15 grandchildren, Carly McCall and husband Cam, Katy Traczek and husband Adam, Lindsey Sherritt and husband Adam, Sam Huddleston and wife Rebecca, Ben Huddleston and wife Alexis, Matthew Huddleston, Megan Huddleston, John Huddleston, Carrie Martinez and husband George, Randy Lee Loewen and wife Megan, Valerie Corbin and husband Gibran, Jody Loewen and wife Miranda, Kelsey Kumrow and Colton Cobb, Alyssa Bell, Mary Robin Casteel, Evan Cloinger and wife Allie, and Kyle Cloinger; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fielding Huddleston Scholarship Fund at Paul Pewitt High School.
