Dorothy Jean Cobb, age 79, of Naples, Texas, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016, at her home. Mrs. Cobb was born September 6, 1936 in the Dalton community outside of Naples to George and Ellie Cato.

Dorothy was a homemaker. She was a member at Daniels Chapel Congregational Methodist Church in Naples. She enjoyed cooking and dancing. She loved to care for her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Odis Cobb, Jr.; her parents; one son, Vestal Cobb; and one brother, Jerrel Cato.

Surviving family members include two sons and daughters-in-law, Randall and Becky Cobb of Naples, and Tony and Sissy Cobb of Naples; one daughter and son-in-law, Twyla and Terry Davis of Naples; eight grandchildren, Amanda Cannon, Nesha Steen and husband Shannon, Nicole Hawkins and husband Rex, Nina Adams and husband, Clint, Cilla McCollum and husband Mitchell, Hope Cobb, Colton Cobb and wife Courtney, and Trevor Davis; fifteen great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Mrs. Cobb's home, 302 East Front Street, Naples, TX 75568. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at Daniels Chapel Congregational Methodist Church in Naples with Bro. Dwaine Higgins and Bro. Bryan Peck officiating. Interment will follow at Dalton Cemetery in Naples.
