Dorothy Lena "Dot" Grisham, age 88, of Marietta, Texas, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017 in Ft. Worth, Texas. Dot was born September 12, 1928 in Marietta, Texas to John Rufus Shaddix and Mary Jordan Shaddix.

Dot was a member for over 60 years at Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Marietta. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed camping, going to bluegrass festivals, travelling, and visiting with friends. Dot never met a stranger. She loved collecting rocks, collecting dolls, and going on boat-rides. Dot devoted her life to her family and loved spending time with them.

Dot was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, G.K. Grisham, Jr. in 2010; one daughter, Deborah Grisham; her parents, Rufus and Mary Shaddix; stepmother, Christine Herring; five brothers, Alton Shaddix, Auvis Shaddix, Buck Shaddix, Monty Shaddix, Sr., and Joe Davis; and two sisters, Ione Hancock and Avonell Tucker.

Surviving family members include three daughters, Brenda Grisham of Benbrook, Texas, Glenda Grisham of Benbrook, Texas, and Thresa Amison of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary Joyce and Billy Murphy of Marietta; two grandchildren, Paul Flournoy and wife Melanie, and Haylie Amison; four great-grandchildren, Bailey Flournoy, Easton Flournoy, Hunter Sanders, and Madison Tharp; one brother-in-law, George David Tucker; ten sisters-in-law, Alice Shaddix, Murlene Shaddix, Bobbie Jo Shaddix, Eula Shaddix, Easy Irvine, Naomi Patterson, Lois Grisham, Enoise Rogers, Reta Voss, and Ladell Strafaci; special cousin, Estelle Day; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2017 at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel in Naples, Texas with Rev. Chas Carlisle officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Marietta.
