Dorothy Nell Knight, age 74, of Naples, Texas, passed away Monday, May 28, 2018, in Naples, Texas. Dorothy was born March 6, 1944 in Daingerfield, Texas to James Washington Traylor and Annabel Barber Traylor.

Dorothy was a member at the Church of Christ in Naples, having served as a Bible school and Sunday school teacher. She was a homemaker, but also worked as a master seamstress. Dorothy enjoyed quilting and also loved spending time painting, traveling, and camping.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Charles Traylor, Jimmy Traylor, and Richard Traylor.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Gerald Knight of Naples; three daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Damon Hodges of Omaha, Janet and Lance Carpenter of Naples, and Jennifer Knight of Naples; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Bobby Akers of Nacogdoches, Texas and Martha and Roger Walker of Bedford, Texas; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Jerry and Billie Faye Traylor of Daingerfield, Texas and Billy John Traylor of Watauga, Texas; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2018 at the Naples Church of Christ with Bro. Phillip Kelley and Bro. Jonathan Whitaker officiating.
