Mack Douglas "Doug" England, age 87, of Naples, Texas, passed away Friday, July 5, 2019, at his home. Doug was born October 20, 1931 in Itasca, Texas to Mack England and Elsie Carie Sterling England.
Doug was a member of First Baptist Church in Naples, Texas. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War era, attaining the rank of Corporal. Doug retired from Gordon's Transport Interstate Industries where he was a dispatcher and terminal manager in Fort Smith and Little Rock. He was a member of the Garland Lodge 441, Belden Lodge, David Elliott Lodge, and Scottish Rite for 50 plus years. Doug enjoyed hunting, fishing, and ranching.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter-in-law, Penny England; one brother, Troy England; and four sisters, Dovie Tuck, Inez Brock, Glenda Brown, and Geneva England.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Joyce R. England of Naples; one daughter and son-in-law, Cindi and Jim Williams of Naples; one son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Anna England of Plano, Texas; eight grandchildren, Christie Mueller and husband Ryan, James "Bud" Williams and wife Jayme, Bradley Williams, Josh Culver and wife Thi, Candace Culver, Alicia Fessler and husband Alex, Colby England, and Senia England; three great-grandchildren, Lynx Williams, Taylor Williams, and Aaron Williams; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A celebration of life service will be held at First Baptist Church in Naples on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Joe Perkins officiating.
