Obituary

Douglas Ray "Doug" Freeman, age 61, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana.  Doug was born February 2, 1960 in Valparaiso, Florida.

Doug was a member at South Jefferson Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant, Texas.  He was a United States Air Force Veteran.  Prior to retirement, Doug pastored several churches.  He also had a lawn service and was a handyman.  Doug enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, traveling, and eating.  He also enjoyed gardening and riding motorcycles.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Barbara Mixon; and one son-in-law, M.J. Stultz.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Freeman of Omaha; four daughters and one son-in-law, Christina and Cory Pingleton of Forney, Texas, Rochelle Cardenas of Pleasant View, Tennessee, Melissa Brenner of Hermitage, Tennessee, and Amanda Freeman of Omaha, Texas; two brothers and one sister-in-law, David Freeman of Crossville, Tennessee and Donald and Jana Freeman of Maud, Texas; one sister, Debra Lynn Purdom of Quantum, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, Conner Pingleton, Caris Pingleton, Dagan Cardenas, Tristan Reed, Max Brenner, Ollie Brenner, Bella Stultz, Chloe Stultz, and Kaedance Freeman.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples, Texas with Rev. Tommy Oglesby officiating.

The family requests that masks be worn while inside the funeral home.
