Edwin Douglas "Doug" McEntire, age 78, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Monday, January 9, 2023, at his home.  Doug was born June 25, 1944, in Naples, Texas to Homer Douglas McEntire and Eddie Novelle Presley McEntire.

Doug was a member of the Church of Christ.  He was a United States Air Force Veteran.  He retired from Texas Utilities where he worked as a mechanic.  Doug enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, organizing.  He also enjoyed watching Paul Pewitt Football.  Doug loved spending time with his family and watching all of his grandkids play ball.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Nina McEntire of Omaha; one daughter, Melana Taylor of Omaha; one son and daughter-in-law, Marc and Karen McEntire of Daingerfield, Texas; five grandchildren, Hanna Taylor, Hally Taylor, Bo McEntire and wife Brooke, Brady McEntire and Lauren Spaniel, and Brock McEntire; one great-grandson, Stetson McEntire; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2023 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples.
