Earl Douglas "Doug" Clay, Sr., age 72, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Doug was born February 20, 1949, in Malvern, Arkansas to Dewell Clay and Violet Adams Clay.

Doug was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a retired police officer serving time on the Malvern, Arkansas and Benton, Arkansas forces. Doug was also a security officer at Lone Star Steel. He formerly served as the city judge in Omaha, Texas. Doug loved to keep his grandchildren. He also enjoyed selling guns for many years, raising cattle, riding around in his restored Army Jeep, and raising German Shepherds.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Joan Clay.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Andra Clay of Omaha, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Doug Clay, Jr. and wife Misty of Naples, Texas; three daughters and son-in-law, Annette Moore of Conway, Arkansas, Amanda Batchelor and husband Jason of Naples, Texas, and Jamie Clay of Naples, Texas; one sister Bonnie Rouse of Knoxville, Tennessee; one uncle, Kenneth Adams of Hot Springs, Arkansas; one aunt, Augustine Clay of Benton, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, Josh Hill, Haley Batchelor, Olivia Moore, Cole Batchelor, Kaylee Clay, Violet Clay, Brody Clay, Makenna Batchelor, and Andy Clay; one great-great grandchild, Hendrix Hill; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Harrison Funeral Home with Richard Smart officiating. Interment will follow at Omaha Cemetery in Omaha, Texas.
