Duane Ralph Claybrook, age 87, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at his home. Duane was born June 3, 1939, in Grinnell, Iowa, to Cleophus Ralph Claybrook and Emma McIlrath Claybrook.

Duane was a member of Bar Nun Cowboy Ministries in Omaha. He was also the past president of The Iowa Amateur Boxing Federation where he served as master of ceremony for all the shows. Duane was a talented musician especially on the trumpet, and was a talented poet and songwriter. He enjoyed woodworking, mechanic auto paint and body, and fishing. Most of all, Duane loved his wife and family, and loved visiting with everyone.

Duane was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Claybrook; his parents; one brother and sister-in-law, Wendell and Mid Claybrook; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Freda and Jerry Ahrens and Evelyn and Art Osborn; and two grandchildren, Shelby Frowiss and Brittany Riley.

Survivors include his five children, Jeffery Claybrook and wife Margaret of Simms, Texas, Dawn Trickey and husband Bryan of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Joel Claybrook and wife Shelly of Naples, Texas, Jason Claybrook and wife Staci of Pflugerville, Texas, and Duanna Frowiss and husband Chris of Granger, Texas; eleven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; a host of great-great- grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Bar Nun Cowboy Ministries on Omaha, Texas, with Bro. Caleb Higgins officiating.
