Lance Dwayne Boyd, age 70, of Pittsburg, Texas, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025, in Tyler, Texas. Lance was born July 29, 1955, in Naples, Texas, to Bennie Joe Boyd and Thelma Jo Hicks Boyd.

Dwayne was retired from International Sulphur in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, where he worked as a commercial electrician. He was a United States Army Veteran. Dwayne was a member of American Legion Post 243 in Mt. Vernon, VFW Post 5398 in Pittsburg, and numerous bass fishing clubs. In his free time, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, and helping people out. Most of all, Dwayne loved fishing and tinkering on things.

Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Chris Boyd.

Survivors include his wife, Cate Boyd of Pittsburg; one son, B.J. Boyd of Tyler; one brother and sister-in-law, Joey and Robin Boyd of Karnack, Texas; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Tammy and Tommy Mays of Argo, Texas, Pam Richardson of Avinger, Texas, and Lori Belcher of Cookville, Texas; 4 grandchildren, Benji Boyd and wife Tanya, Dakota Boyd and wife Angela, Hunter Boyd, and Jarrod Lyles and wife Amity; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples, Texas. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples with Rev. Nolan Richey officiating. Interment will follow at Naples Cemetery in Naples.
