E.B. Wommack, age 79, of Naples, Texas, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at his home. E.B. was born July 19, 1936 in Naples to James Herman Wommack and Ethel Ewildie Jenkins Wommack.
E.B. retired from the United States Air Force, where he was a staff sergeant. He was a lifelong rancher. He was a member at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Bryans Mill. E.B. was also a member of the American Legion and the VFW. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and riding his mule-drawn wagon. He spent many hours building birdhouses, and even built his grandchildren a playhouse. E.B. loved travelling in the Amish country. He enjoyed the simple life.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James Wommack; and an infant son.
Surviving family members include his wife of 56 years, Tomi Wommack of Naples; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Jeff Flatt of Dallas, and Juanita and Donny Browning of Atlanta; one brother and sister-in-law, Marshall and Ruthie Wommack of Marietta; three grandchildren, Tracey Flatt, Michael Flatt and wife Jonelle, and Tim Flatt and wife Crystal; one great-granddaughter, Kate Flatt; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2016, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the funeral home chapel with Bro. Dominic Crescimanno officiating. Interment will follow at Dalton Cemetery in Naples.
