James Edward "Ed" Alexander, age 87, of Houston, Texas, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2019, in Houston.  Ed was born April 7, 1932 in Naples, Texas to Ed and Daisy Alexander.

Ed graduated from Naples High School in 1949.  He then served his country by enlisting in the United States Navy.  Ed retired from Maxwell house, and even after retirement, he continued to work at Wal Mart for over 19 years.  His legacy will continue through the lives of his children and grandchildren.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Judy Alexander; three sons, Dennis Alexander and wife Rachael, Danny Alexander and wife Doreen, and James Alexander and wife Becky; one daughter, Debra McCord; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2019 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples.  Interment will follow at Springhill Cemetery in Naples.
