Earl James "EJ" Carson, II, age 74, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2025 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.  EJ was born November 9, 1950, in Dallas, Texas, to Earl James Carson and Lena Maud Nelson Carson.

EJ was a United States Army veteran.  He served in Vietnam and received a Purple Heart.  Upon discharge from the Army, EJ worked as a painter.  He enjoyed playing golf and fishing.  He also enjoyed watching sports and going to the horse races.  As a young adult, EJ played in a softball league.

EJ was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Charlie Carson; and one grandson, Seth Carter.

Survivors include his wife, Colleen Caron of Omaha; two stepdaughters, Shana Carter and husband Bud of Omaha and Shelly Knight of Omaha; one sister-in-law, Gaye Carson of Irving, Texas; four grandsons, John Cody Carter and wife Zoey, Brady Carter, Thomas Knight, and Ryan Knight; one nephew, Layton Carson and wife Ashley of Godley, Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home, Naples, Texas.
